Parents — The Internet is not the best place to get information on speaking to your kids about sex!

Our study of the information parents get when they ask a search engine ‘how should I talk to my child abuse sex?‘ found  major gaps!!! Most articles talk about warning kids of  dangers like  abuse  or pregnancy, but few advise parents how to talk about the beauty of sex in a loving relationship! For example, only 10% of the posts mentioned sexual arousal and climax, a critical concept for youth to understand when navigating issues including consent, boundaries  and victimization, less than 19% mentioned  emotions associated with sex,  and very few of the articles offered parents resources and information on how to actually cover these topics with their kids.   Read the full article at the link below  (special thanks to APSAC  for publishing our paper) and  get ready for the 2026 edition of the Sex-Wise Parent, which will have hundreds of pages of information, ideas and resources for parents!
